Onguso To Face Former Employers As Sofapaka Squad Is Named

Sofapaka team that will take on Western Stima in Go TV Shield Cup onSaturday July 8, 2017 has been released. The match will be played at the Thika Sub County Stadium from 16:15.

Wesley Onguso, who ditched Stima for Sofapaka during the mid-season transfer window has been handed a starting berth and will now face his former employers in the knockout competition. Hillary Echesa will lead the team as the captain, with George Opiyo set to start in between the sticks for Batoto Ba Mungu.

Sofapaka talisman Ezekiel Okare will start from the bench, with Umar Kasumba who has four goals in the competition given a spot in the starting line-up. The two teams have met once this season, with Sofapaka registering a 3-1 win over ten-man Stima in the second match of the Kenyan Premier League.
