Dedan Kimathi University and Kabarak University sides have pulled out of the Kenya Hockey Union leagues citing different reasons.
Kimathi University has failed to honour a match this season and communicated to KHU their intention to pull of the league citing budgetary constraints at the University to support the side in the Men’s Super League.
Kabarak University on the other hand cited internal disciplinary issues as a major cause of their exit from the Men’s National league.
Kenya Hockey Union in an email on Monday said that they will issue a comprehensive statement on the two sides’ withdrawal from the league and any course of action.
Their withdrawal leaves the Men’s National league with eleven teams while the Super League with twelve teams.
