Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr has expressed his delight in the progress of his players after guiding the league leaders to a convincing 4-0 win over Nzoia United on Saturday September 9.
Tuyisenge’s brace and a goal each from Kagere and Kahata earned Ko’galo their 14th league win of the season, maintaining the six-point gap between them and second-placed Sofapaka.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Briton who has now registered six wins in seven matches said that preparation was a key factor in weekend’s win over Nzoia.
“l had a prior information about how Nzoia United play and we knew what exactly to train on to get good results,” said Kerr.
“We had good finishes, something that has been a worry in many matches. We trained on set pieces and for sure, our training before the match helped. I am also happy we scored a couple of goals.”
“Still I’m proud of the players good professional attitude in our quest to achieve the best. That in itself is a great factor for success,” he added.
After playing 22 matches, Gor Mahia is leading the Kenya Premier League table with 47 points and the 15-time champions have a chance to add their wins when they take on a struggling Chemelil Sugar side on Thursday September 14 in Kisumu.
