Zoo’s Madoya Features Prominently As Sportpesa Premier League Awards Nominees Are Revealed

Nominees in ten categories for the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) end of year awards set for January 2018 have been revealed.
Featuring prominently is Zoo FC midfielder Michael Madoya, who has been nominated in four different categories namely Most Valuable Player (MVP), Fair Player of The Year, Midfielder of The Year and New Player of The Year. The young ace will be seeking to walk away with atleast one trophy after losing the Midfielder of the year gong to Gor Mahia’s George Odhiambo in the Sports Journalist Association of Kenya (SJAK) Awards held last month.

MVP
In the Most Valuable Player (MVP) category, Madoya faces stiff competition from Gor Mahia’s Meddie Kagere and Lawrence Juma who joined the champions from Nzoia Sugar on a free transfer. Goalkeeping duo of Patrick Matasi (Posta Rangers) and John Oyemba (Kariobangi Sharks) have also been included in that ultimate prize.

In the Defender of The Year category, Musa Mohammed, who is rumored to be joining FK Tirana from Gor Mahia, will be eyeing the prize after emerging victorious in the SJAK Awards. He faces opposition from Joakins Atudo of Posta Rangers, Nakumatts Nicholas Mejja and teammate Charles Momanyi.
