Zarika To Defend Her WBC Title In November Against Former World Champion

On Saturday 25th November, Kenyan boxer Fatuma Zarika will step into the ring to defend her World Boxing Council (WBC) super bantamweight title. The 32 year-old will be up against former world champion Catherine Phiri who hails from Zambia.

On Saturday 25th November, Kenyan boxer Fatuma Zarika will step into the ring to defend her World Boxing Council (WBC) super bantamweight title. The 32 year-old will be up against former world champion Catherine Phiri who hails from Zambia.

Zarika, who made his debut way back in October 2003, currently  has 29 wins, 12 loses and 2 draws (29-12-2). She stripped Jamaican Alicia Ashley of her WBC title last year before knocking out Flora Machela in her last competitive match held in Carnivore, Nairobi.

Zarika now plans to move back to the US to further prepare for the match.
