Two Kenyans Feted In The Concluded CAVB Championship

Two Malkia Stars players have been honored with individual awards for their exemplary displays in the just concluded women’s Volleyball Africa Nations Championships that were held in  YaoundĂ©, Cameroon.

Kenya finished second in the tournament after losing to hosts Cameroon in the finals in a five-set game. Despite relinquishing their crown, Malkia Stars qualified for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship that will be held in September next year in Japan.

Awards

In the indidual awards, Kenya received two, same as winners Cameroon while Egypt and Senegal had one each. Mercy Moim was given the best server’s award while Edith Wisa Mukuvulani earned herself the best blocker’s gong.
