Two Dropped In Uganda’s Final Squad For CHAN 2018


Uganda Cranes Head coach Sebastien Desabre has made known his final 23-man squad that will represent the country in this year’s CAF African Nations (CHAN) tournament that has been scheduled for Morocco.

Desabre, who was unveiled as Uganda’s tactician on Thursday December 28, 2017, came up with the final list of names following two build up matches against Guinea and Congo.

Those dropped are Tom Masiko and Mustapha Kizza, who had been training with the team in Rabat since last Thursday and are now expected to return home.

Uganda Cranes are in Group B alongside Zambia, Ivory Coast and Namibia. They will kick off their campaign with a match against Zambia on Sunday January 14 at 22:30 EAT before taking on Namibia four days later at the same time. The East African nation will then wrap up their group fixtures against Ivory Coast on Monday January 22.
