With the 2018 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season fast approaching, Thika United have reserved two prominent friendlies as part of preparations for the work ahead.
The Nicholas Muyoti coached side held invite-only trials just a week ago and the matches will provide a decent platform to assess new acquisitions.
They will first take on Ulinzi Stars on Friday January 18, 2018 at the Thika Sub-County Stadium before coming up against Gotv Shield Champions AFC Leopards a day later at the same venue. Both games are scheduled to kick off at 15:00.
Thika United are looking forward to a better 2018, one that will be different from the previous where they missed relegation by a mere goal difference.
Having finished sixteenth overall, they had to fight for the final remaining top flight spot with Ushuru FC who were third in the National Super League (NSL). A 2-1 aggregate eventually ensured their stay among the elite.
