Kenya 7s are through to the Sydney Sevens quarterfinals following a 26-12 win over Wales in their third Group B match played on Saturday 27th January at the Allianz Stadium.
Sujaa, who had earlier on edged France 17-14, found themselves trailing after Lewis Lloyd touched down for Wales before Will Ambaka brought the scores back level with a wonderful try.
Dan Sikuta then had Kenya leading for the first time shortly after with a try before Eden Agero’s converted effort took his side 19-7 into the break.
Agero would then convert Arthur Owira’s try before Wales scored late, Shujaa claiming the result and second place in Pool B behind Argentina who beat France 19-12 in the other Pool B fixture.
Kenya renew their rivalry with South Africa when the two sides meet in the quarters on Sunday 28th January at 3.50am EAT
