Okaka Scores On His Debut As Leopards Cruise Past Nairobi Stima

AFC Leopards qualified for Round of 16 of the GoTV Shield Cup after a 2-0 win over Nairobi Stima on Saturday July 8, 2017 at the Mumias Sports Complex.

On his debut for Leopards, Aziz Okaka needed only three minutes to get himself a goal in a perfect start for his life in Kenya. Ingwe doubled their lead almost immediately, defender Joshua Mawira notching the second goal which doubled his team’s confidence. In the second half, Mawira almost completed a brace but was denied by the woodwork.

Leopards should have won by a bigger margin was it not for Vincent Oburu and Victor Majid’s near miss chances. Ivan Anguyo had the best chance for Nairobi Stima, curling a free kick that only missed the goal by inches. The match ended 2-0.
