With just three days before their historic clash against Manchester United in the FA Cup, Yeovil Town took to their twitter account to welcome Alexis Sanchez shortly after the Chilean was officially announced as a United player.
The Gloves host United in the 4th Round of the FA Cup on Friday 26 January at Huist Park, and the League Two side reckon that it might be best for the Chilean to make his debut there.
“You said you’ve joined ‘the biggest club in the world,'” Yeovil quipped on Twitter. “So it’s only right that you start your United career in the biggest away dressing room in League Two.”
Sanchez was officially announced on a four-and-a-half-year deal and as part of a swap deal, Mkhitaryan has joined Arsenal on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Sanchez was in his fourth season with the Gunners, joining from Barcelona in 2014 and scoring 80 goals in 166 appearances.
The Chilean also won two FA Cups at Arsenal, most recently in 2017 when they beat Premier League champions Chelsea.
