The Kenya Hockey Union Women’s Premier League continues this weekend where three matches have been scheduled between Saturday December 9 and Sunday December 10, 2017.
Twin matches for MSC
Mombasa Sports Club will be the busiest side this weekend with two matches against fellow strugglers lined up from them. Sitting second from bottom on the log with only four points, the team will be out for victories that can add on to their point tally.
On Saturday, they host bottom placed University of Nairobi at 15:00. Both sides are currently on a poor run, MSC having lost all of their last eight fixtures while UON remain winless in over fourteen games. The last meeting between these two teams back in May 2017 ended in a 1-1 draw.
MSC then returns to the same venue on Sunday where they have a date with Multimedia University, a side that is just above them on the league standings with seven points. MMU however head into the clash buoyed by a 1-0 victory over Vikings in their last league engagement.
Amira eye second spot
In another match on Sunday, Chase Amira will be seeking to dethrone USIU-A off the second spot when they tackle Vikings at the City Park Stadium from 17:00. Amira, who are third with 33 points, have won all of their last four games and are unbeaten in their last seven.
Vikings on the other hand have not recorded a win in their last four games, a result that has seen them drop to seventh place with 20 points from 17 matches. The most recent meeting between these two sides ended in a 2-0 win in favor of Chase Amira.
