KPL: Gor Mahia handed walkover after Mount Kenya players boycott match

Gor Mahia have been awarded their SPL 2018-19 Round 22 match against Mount Kenya United on a 2-0 win andĀ  three points after their opponents failed to show up at the match venue.

Mount Kenya United players refused to leave for Machakos to play Gor Mahia as they demanded their unpaid salaries after they converged at City Stadium.

The “win” means Gor Mahia go on top the logĀ  with 52 points after playing twenty three matches, two behind their other challengers.

Mount Kenya remain at the bottom of the log on 15 points following the unplayed match.
