Kitted By SportPesa, Malkia Stars Depart To Cameroon For CAVB Championship

The Kenya Women’s Volleyball team left the country for Cameroon on Thursday October 5 where they will take part in the upcoming 2017 CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Championship, which will double up as the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Qualifier. The tournament is set to be held in Yaounde, Cameroon, from October 7 to October 14, 2017.

The team received a major boost on Tuesday October 3 after betting firm SportPesa came to their rescue, choosing to kit them at a hand-over ceremony held during training at the Kasarani Sports Complex. Among those who graced the occasion were SportPesa Global Chief Marketing Officer, Joyce Kibe & Kenya Volleyball President Waithaka Kioni.

Malkia Stars will be gunning for the two top spots in the Women’s African Volleyball Championship, which will in turn grant them a place in next year’s 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship.
