"Standards have been set and we will work within our personal goals for 2015."
"We are going for a maximum attack this year considering the fact that there are very quick cars around at the present.
We have a much better understanding of the car and what it's capable of doing and what it can not do. The new R5s and S2000s have their own advantages and so do the Group Ns. Let's hope for a mixture of roads, otherwise I believe they will sweep the ground with us all when it's smooth," said Jasmeet.
"I wish to thank Sovereign hotel for coming on board as our hospitality partner this season. Their sponsorship comes in at opportune time when rising costs in KNRC ranks compels one to push harder and harder to keep up with rising standards of competition," added Jamseet.
Jasmeet will also be sponsored by Magicard a leading brand with Identisys Ltd and Cyber Trace from Securex. He will be navigated by his elder sibling Ravi Chana with his other two elder brothers present in Kisumu to ensure the car and general logistics are well in place.
Former S Class champion Jaswinder Chana -currently on rally sabbatical -is managing the CRS racing.
During an interview at the CRS Workshop in Westlands Nairobi, Jaswinder thanked Sovereign hotel for extending their goodwill gestures and remained optimistic of Jasmeet's good run with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9.
This is the third season that Jasmeet will be driving this car having already registered a rare 100% finished record over the past two seasons!
Jaswinder who heads the team of mechanics said they have done a full strip rebuild, re- branded and carried out a successful test last weekend.
"After the test which was really good, everything seems to be fine."Last year we finished fourth in the championship, this year we are again aiming for the top 10 again. This year we were going to push more than last year. Hopefully, we should have more sponsors coming on board just before Safari."
Jaswinder rates Jasmeet as one of KNRC's most consistent driver at the moment "and his past record speaks for itself ".
"Jasmeet is a very collective driver. He looks at his pace and drives with his head. All in all, the season will be very very competitive with the R5s factored to race against the Group Ns. "Jaswinder said.
Jasmeet said he is eager to finish all rallies and maintain a 100% record this season.
"We will make sure we finish all rallies in top position and maintain a level-headed approach to our cockpit," added Jasmeet who is a two time 2WD champion in a VW Golf Mk2 and a Group S champ ina Toyota Celica GT4.
"This is a competitive sport and championship all the drivers want to win!" Jasmeet quipped in finality.
