CAVB Men’s Championship: Kenya Off To A Bad Start

The Kenya men’s volleyball team got off to a bad start in the ongoing African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Championship after losing their opening Pool B match to Ghana in three straight sets on Sunday October 22 at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex, Cairo, Egypt.

The Kenya men’s volleyball team got off to a bad start in the ongoing African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Championship after losing their opening Pool B match to Ghana in three straight sets on Sunday October 22 at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex, Cairo, Egypt.

Ghana, who are ranked below Kenya in the latest World Rankings released by Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), won the first set 25-16 before claiming the second (26-24)and third (25-16) sets shortly after.

The loss is a blow to Kenya who are aiming to qualify for the World Cup but have another chance to make things right on Monday when they face Tunisia at 18:00  before tackling Libya on Tuesday at 19:00.
