Swamibapa rains runs on Samaj

The rains gave way to a perfect Saturday afternoon of cricket with wins for Swamibapa Sports Club, Kanbis Sports Club and Stray Lions Cricket Club in the ongoing NPCA T20 Super League. Swamibapa stamped their authority by recording the highest total of the season, yet, 8/210, beating SCLPS by a hefty 109 runs in the process.

Gymkhana Stun Kanbis

The 2015/2016 NPCA T20 League wrapped up an exciting second week with wins for Nairobi Gymkhana, Stray Lions Cricket Club and Swamibapa Sports Club. At the Nairobi Gymkhana, Kanbis was stunned away from home as Gymkhana’s bowlers put up a heist to dismiss them 21 runs short of their target. Electing to bat for the second time this weekend, Gymkhana put up 136/8 with Irfan Karim top scoring once again with 28 runs off 24 balls.

Patel, Obanda half tons headline NPCA T20 opening ties

The Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) League resumed today with the T20 edition bowling off with wins for Swamibapa Sports Club, Kanbis Sports Club and Kenya Kongonis Cricket ClubClub in the Super League. At the Nairobi Jafferey Academy, Premier Club opened the League on a sour note as they were hammered a 59-run loss by Swamibapa Sports Club.

Nairobi Wins U-17 boys’ National Tournament

Nairobi U-17 ‘A’ are the champions of the U-17 boys’ national tournament after beating Mombasa U-17 by 8 wickets at the Ruaraka Sports Club on Saturday evening. The Coastal side stole their way into the finals after an emphatic 10-wicket triumph over Nairobi U-17 ‘B’ at the Sir Ali Muslim Club in their final group stage match. Chasing 110 for victory, Adarsh Sawjani survived a return catch to Josephat Maina to finish unbeaten on a 62-ball 86 that included eight boundaries and two mammoth sixes.
